FAQ
How do I book your tour?
The best way to do it is to fill the form "Book a Tour". I will get it immediately and will answer you within a couple of hours. If I am available on the requested dates, I will keep the dates for you and then we'll go on with the process of booking. You can also check my availability in the calendar.

If for some reasons you don't want to use this way of booking, you can always send me an e-mail, I check them regularly (and even the Spam folder) so I will not miss your request.
Do you work with groups?
I work with groups only if this is a party of friends or family members. The number of guests doesn't matter.

But I do not collect different people together to perform a guided tour for them. For me "private" indeed means private!
Can you customize a tour?
Yes, definitely! I have tours that are already pre-planned and calculated. But I believe that the possibility of having a tailor-made tour is the main advantage of choosing a private guide.
What about safety measures?
I completely realize that today safety must be a priority! That is why:
  • I insist on assured privacy - I will never "add" anyone unknown to your group.
  • I provide my guests with masks, hand sanitizers and wipes.
  • All the vehicles, that I hire for the tours, are sanitized before and after each tour.
  • I work with a microphone even in a car to provide distancing.
  • I always try to organize the itinerary in order to escape the crowds and lines.
  • I do not perform the tour if I am not feeling well.
    What is your payment policy?
    Usually, I ask the prepayment equal to the cost of museum, theatre or other tickets, pre-cooked meals (in case they are ordered), port fees and e-vouchers (tour tickets). As soon as I get the payment, I'll confirm the booking. The rest of the sum should be paid on the spot after the tour is given.
    I accept prepayments via Paypal or Western Union (in that case, all fees are at the customer's expense).
    You can always pay for your tour in advance if you prefer.
    What is your cancellation policy?
    The prepayment is refundable if you cancel the tour not later than 10 days prior to the beginning of the tour.

    The prepayment is partially refundable if you cancel the tour not later than 72 hours prior to the beginning of the tour. In that case, only the cost of museum tickets will be refunded.

    The prepayment is not refundable if you cancel the tour in less than 72 hours prior to the beginning of the tour.

    The prepayment is not refundable for no-shows.

    What if the guide cancel the tour?
    I might cancel the tour only in case of illness. If the tour cannot be moved to another date I will either provide you with another English-speaking guide of the same qualification (and trustworthy), who fill follow the itinerary, timing and all the details of the tour. Or I'll return you the prepayment if that will be your decision.
    Do we need a Russian visa if we're coming as cruise ship passengers?
    No, you do not need a Russian visa. According to the laws of the Russian Federation, cruise ship passengers can go on shore for up to 72 hours without any visa required on condition that:
    1) they are accompanied by a certified tour guide;
    2) the itinerary of their tour is inserted into a special e-voucher (tour ticket);
    3) they spend the nights on board the cruise ship.

    I will send the e-voucher to you by e-mail. It must be printed to show it at the customs to the officer (if he/she asks about it) together with your valid passports.

    If you're a holder of the passport of one of the countries whose residents are granted visa-free entry to Russia for a certain period (e.g. South Africa, Israel, Argentina etc.), you do not need a tour ticket. Just don't forget to bring with you your valid corresponding passport.
    Is there a deadline for booking your tour?
    If you are a cruise ship passenger than there is a deadline. Due to the rules of Saint Petersburg Passenger Port authorities, the data for the issue of a tour ticket have to be provided not later than 72 hours prior to the ship arrival. Please, forward me your request not later than 5 days prior to the beginning of the tour for we could make all arrangements needed.
    I enjoyed your tour, what should I do?
    If it is so, I am absolutely delighted! This is what I am working for - the excitement of my guests! If you have enough time and if you wish you can write a review here. Or you can post your review on social media, share your experience with friends or mail me your testimonial with permission to publish them on my website!

    If you were not so content with the tour, please, do not hesitate to inform me about it! How else could I know about the drawbacks? I read once, that the book of comments and suggestions — one could find it in every Soviet shop and probably can in every Russian shop now — is the best instrument of improvement of your service. And I believe it's true! So I'll be happy to get rid of my mistakes and make my tours the best private tours in Saint Petersburg!
